This software is a joke. I was having a problem with Office, and I thought I would give it a go. I deleted a pile of registry entries that it listed as errors, and safe to delete. Then my PC started to play up, so I tried the "undo" action, which didn't fix the problem.
Fortunately, I had made a complete drive backup, and restored my PC to its pre-Amust state. Phew!

You have been warned. if you must try this rubbish, make a full backup first.

Buyer Beware! No Refund!
I purchased Amust Registry Cleaner 2nd May 2007 and cancelled it 20th May. In spite of many reminders and a few polite responses - they never refund you!

The german magazin "c't - Computer technics" test 9 registry cleaner.
AMUST Registry Cleaner was at the 7 place.
The most effective tool was
1. RegOrganizer and WinTools prof.
2. RegistryHealer (RegistryHeahlt)

AMUST Registry Cleaner works definitly slow and found NOT ALL elementary wrong entries.
Those states "the negative reviewers were novices.." is short-sighted, partially and un-professionell.
Read the neutral tests of renomierten technical periodicals/magazines and you know, what happens.
neutral tests of admitted and experienced technical periodicals.
AMUST Registry Cleaner was not the best-that was confirmed here. Examine it, before one transacts such statements!

To my mind, it’s a very useful program. I don't have any problems running it, no complaints at all. Clearly, the negative reviewers were novices. It has fixed all errors in my registry and really made my system working better. Thanks!

It’s magnificent!
It can restore condition of my computer registry in just few clicks. What I love about this program is how quickly it does a complete clean; a couple of mouse clicks and your registry is clean. It’s fast but NOT dangerous. It knows what to delete and what not to.

It’s the best registry cleaner I have found yet. Great job. I have tried many other cleanup programs for my PC and yours is by far the best of all them....it is so easy to use... your program is great...thanks for offering it....

I tested this software, and wanna say it's great, especially with new features and improvements added to the latest released 2.0 version.
It's fully functional in trial mode, lets fix every error it finds, lets compact registry, without any limitations during all trial period.
I ran it couple times on my machine and it now works apparently better that before- seems that registry is in better condition.

At first time, I was surprised with that it found and fixed only about seventy errors, but later I realized that the number itself does not matter at all, because it does not indicate severity of errors that have been fixed. Also, many other registry cleaners I've tried, claimed to have fixed tons of errors, often lead my system to collapse because vital appliaction configuration was removed from registry as the result of false positive detection.

It works slower than all registry-cleaner i known.
WinTools.net Professional 6.5.1 found more invalid entries. AMUST Registry Cleaner works superficially and incompletely.

DIRKES

DIRKES reviewed v2.0 on Nov 23, 2005

I test it with Confrontation of TuneUp2006, JVPowertools and RegOptimizer.
AMUST Registry Cleaner found only 19 invalid entries.
After this I test the other tools, it found 52 invalid entries.
The other Tool(s) works thus substantially more efficiently. They found more entries.
AMUST Registry Cleaner must become better, before one pays money for it.

Is this the software that lets you use it and then doesn't allow you to fix the problems unless you buy it? This is information that should be supplied, either way. I wasted time with one such program and ended up wasting the time with a sly sales pitch. I hope this isn't the case here.

I decided to give the Registry Cleaner a try to see if it fixes some of the spyware-provoked issues with IE. One of the issues was redirecting of all Google links to some vile porn/spam/warez site. Installed it on an IBM 600E ThinkPad with 512G of RAM running XP Pro.

Installation: Very easy, took less than 1 minute. Did require a reboot.

GUI: Very clear representation of registry scanning progress. Easy to read and understand interface, no unnecessary fluff. The buttons on the left represent various modes of operations: Scan and Fix; Undo; Backup; Compact.

Operation: The scan took about 20 minutes on my 330MHZ Pentium II. Found 701 issues, broken down by category, like this:

MRU Locations list: 54

File Associations: 18

Shared Components: 10

COM Subsystem: 636

Internet Explorer: 1

Microsoft Office: 2

As part of the scan the product did fix my IE spyware toolbar issue. It also got rid of a whole bunch of debris left by various shareware and freeware programs Iýve installed and uninstalled over the course of 2 years.
