All-In-Wonder 9600 user. Can't get ATIMMC to launch. It starts then immediately ends. The installer kept crashing with "invalid index" because my secondary display's ID wasn't in the installers database. Hacked it with Orca to make it work.

I am stuck using an old copy of WinDVD Recorder to watch TV on the PC, since it's impossible to get MMC installed.

Thanks ATI. Get up off your duffs and write something that works as advertised.

Well, i tried installing it because it sounded amazingly good. I ran the installer, and it never installed itself.

This program seems to not be as good.

This version only supports 9000 series and higher. If you have an ealier AIW RADEON, MMC 9.02 is the end of the road.

3 week old AIW 9600 Pro with MMC8.6 software installed had 1 click remover in add/remove that went well.Installed ALL new 3.10/MMC8.8 went well EXCEPT CD update for DVD must be done between DAO... and MMC to work correct. New software works great.DVR now has about 10 grades of capture to use, Auto FM detect, etc.Have had many Rage..TV WONDER..DVD probs in the past and must say that it apprears ATI is GETTING IT TOGETHER. AIW9600 Pro now FINE product.

Works great for me too. And the easyshare thing is cool too. I can watch tv on my notebook over wifi now. I used to use windows media encoder and stream the tv to my notebook (from my desktop), but with easyshare it let's you pause, rewind and such. It does stutter every once and a while but not bad for a fist version. The rest of mmc is fine... they added MPEG4 compression wich works great.

It is true that it is intended for Radeon 9XXX but it also states that it is compatible with Radeon 8XXX and even Radeon 7XXX. You do have to buy the DVD feature if you do not have 9XXX. However, the program is buggy. I tried installing on mine (8500AIW) and the TV doesn't work complaining that it is accessing unavailable memory. I had to revert it back to version 7.7, which works well.

They make clear on their website that this release is intended for the Radeon 9xxx Series. Maybe they meant just the Direct X 9 Hardware Cards. Although the Radeon9000s have the 9 in their name they just Direct X 8. Anyway is more probably that you got to install this before : Install the DAO/MDAC Component Package (required).
