Publisher's Description
ATI Tray Tools is a free utility that runs in the system tray and provides easy right-click access to all of your ATI video card's crucial settings. You can change anisotropic filtering + antialiasing levels in Direct3D and OpenGL, adjust image quality, turn on/off special driver features, or simply just fool around with clock settings (core and memory speeds). It uses minimal system resources and isn't intrusive.

This program hasn't been updated since 2011 and does not work with newer cards.
That said, it was great, in 2011. Not sure why you decided to post it in 2014 when it hasn't worked for some years.

LOVE LOVE LOVE his program. ive been an ATI guy for most of my PC life but when they started slacking off severerely i went with nvidia. from 8800GT to 9800GTX to GTX260, but im finally back in ATI camp and LOVE ATI Tray Tools. it's one of the biggest reasons i love ATI cards...RivaTuner is a nice app (works with many ATI cards now, too), but it just doesnt compare to ATT. lovin a previous beta with my 4870x2, though it was a little buggy cause it was an old build. didnt know Ray Adams was still developing this

No joy!
I have two Sapphire 3870's used for folding. I wanted to OC them manually rather than depending on ATI's Overdrive that comes with the new Catalyst CCC.
First, there is no way of ID'ing multiple cards so I have no idea which card or both the settings are being applied to. Then there is the problem that when I tried to shutdown the machine (default settings) I got continious application errors (illegal memory addressed). I had told it to auto-start the monitoring application, however when it restarted no monitoring application. After that, I just junked it as something not ready for prime time and went back to ATI's overdrive

Life saver for sad DAAMIT victims. I cannot understand how ATI staff continue developing that crappy .NET infected CCC. This little tool does more than CCC (for free) and shows no bloated interface.
The only but is that with some configurations ATT is not as stable as I wish. But overall, it is pretty impressive! Ati, learn from these guys: License this beauty or hire the developers if your programmers are just .NET st00pid dummies.

used next to the ATI/AMD "Driver only" package - this really does an awesome job of configuring, and beyond that, a great tool for tweaking and overclocking.

fair comment : as i dont play pc games - games consoles are used for thay - the majority of "non-gamers" you only change the settings when they change the monitor of video card - once every 5 years - as a computer engineeer 99% of used i come acorss arent even aware thay can chage the screen resolution : as they leave it the way the pc is set up , tho only ones who want to are as you point out the "dedicated gamers" - so i wonder what % of pc users these ppl are
ShiftedBlue reviewed v1.3.6.1044 Beta on May 25, 2007
bradingram, many of us DO want to change these settings frequently. I change AA and refresh settings all the time, depending on what game I want to play, what resolution I want for various desktop apps, etc. That's sort of the whole point of this program.
And for the record, it appears to be using roughly 4MB of system RAM at idle. I have over a thousand. I think I can spare it.
To barin251, ATT doesn't support all chipsets. When I temporarily yanked my vidcard, my PC crashed immediately after booting until I figured out ATT doesn't play nice with an onboard X200.
bradingram reviewed v1.3.6.1041 Beta on May 13, 2007
surely things that take up RAM , and space in the systemtray are applications that you generaly want to change frequelntly , and or/see the status of something :
would someone really want to continualy change the anti alias settings / refresh rate ??????
or would that be done once every 6 months , in which case the control pannel would be a better place
ive rated as 3 , as functionally it does whats its supposed to , but not neccesary to have - right on my face 24/7

This actually came with the latest beta drivers from ATI. Nothing astounding, but it functions very nicely.
kronix2 reviewed v1.3.6.1024 Beta on Apr 3, 2007
The betas support Vista, but messing with the "3D Settings > Additional" tab results in Vista's DWM flipping out and producing corrupted windows.
Other than that, it works fine. I use it for the refresh lock, and that works without any trouble on Vista.

This thing is a godsend. Shame on ATI for making us install the .CRAP framework.
If they were smart they would have taken the same path as nVidia and provided both a "pretty version" and a light version.

Since ATi decided, that there will be no more Control Panel anymopre, this tool is a must have for ATi users, who don't like the Control Center. Also the other possibilities are great.
ModderXManiac reviewed v1.0.5.877 RC on Apr 14, 2006
Dl2agoon, I think you're mistaken, it works flawlessly on my system, at least a few releases ago until I upgraded from internal to an x700, which works beautifully with this.
It surely won't overclock internal gfx, but everything else works on it man, I'd advise just installing ati drivers, unistall catalyst, just use this.
I no longer require Omega, DNA, Catalyst, none of it, just ATI drivers and this, and everything is guaranteed to work with great stability.
Zygi reviewed v1.0.5.824 on Jan 30, 2006
I don't want to buy nvidia, just because of this program (and ATItool too ;) ) :D This can replace ati control panel, have refresh lock, overclocking and finding max gpu/mem clock, artifacts detecting, tweaks, osd with fps ala fraps and even more info like clocks and so on, directx and opengl settings.... MASTERPIECE !!!

ModderXManiac reviewed v1.0.5.815 on Jan 9, 2006
No changes?
I got a Radeon x700 pro yesterday and managed to do some serious overclocking with this app. The artifact scanner is hella lot better than Ati Tools, and this adds a profiling system that Catalyst should have already had in the first place given Forceware has always had it.
Dwarden reviewed v1.0.4.780 on Oct 19, 2005
Definitely best tool for ATI card owners ... and keeps getting better!
dzjepp reviewed v1.0.2.690 on Jun 11, 2005
Great ati tweaking app...
Does anyone know what the 'advanced section' tweaks do? I wish this program incorporated hover tooltips for the radio buttons, because many of those tweaks are undocumented. I would like to know what they do so I could decide if they are worth changing.
BTW does anyone know why the authors forum is not working? Is there a backup forum anywhere?
bourgeoisdude reviewed v1.0.2.690 on Jun 10, 2005
Unlike the drivers themselves, these tools are very useful and stable. I personally don't use the functions much but they work well.

jegHegy reviewed v1.0.1.527 on Feb 26, 2005
great app, minus the annoyance of always having to uninstall and reboot first to install the new version because of rovhook.dll staying in the memory, preventing the installer from overwriting the file.

I've tried alot of different ATI card tweakers, I stuck with Radlinker because it doesnt require any other software running to work. but this one might be worth the system tray icon, it uses aprox 5mb of mem and allows per game settings as well as per game overclocking in a very easy to use way, it also allows for adjusting the cards memory timings, I didnt mess with this maybe someone more brave can elaborate there.
the only problem I could find with it is the "find max gpu/mem" options. its a nice feature, but it wasnt very accurate with my card experience may vary.
otherwise awesome tweaker
I considered 4 stars due to the overclock, but I found it says on the readme AND the websupport page not to count on it, so cant really complain. :-)
