Publisher's Description
Acoustica MP3 CD Burner lets you create audio cds from MP3s. Does not require you to convert from MP3 to WAV. It can detect incomplete or silent songs, automatically raise the volume of quieter tracks, trim songs with excess silence at the beginning or end, and can fade from one track to the next.

I don't know if they fixed it, but the last time I tried this I had some issues. After burning, on a couple of occasions, a few of the tracks seemed to be meshed together. Some tracks had the ending of the previous track at the beggining. I usuually use Nero, and never encountered that type of problem. When I sent mail to the co., they tried to say it was my system config? I can tell you a friend also had the same issue, when I asked him to try it.

This program works great. And the developer constantly updates his products. There may be other burning programs that also do CD burning from MP3's, but this one has a lot of features that the others don't in this function. It has normalization & song boosting, which is a nice feature.

Excellent program. Does what it's says, and does it very well. Never had a problem playing the CD's, in either the car CD player or home CD or DVD player. Created CD's sound great too.

hmm....you could do the same things all for free using EAC/Audiograbber, the freeware encoders & mp3gain. I guess for newbies it might hold some interest.

Actually Acoustica MP3 CD Burner supports Ogg Vorbis, and does it pretty well. I give 4 points because: 1. the Ogg codec is in v.1.0.3 (instead of 1.1, which is a lot better) 2. it is impossible to set minimum and maximum bitrate (Lavavo Ripper does it!) which is useful for iRiver hardware players. It is possible to use ABR or VBR settings only
The rest of the program is good, esp. the stability. I experienced stability issues when I used similar programs from Lavavo and Ashampoo. No problems with Acoustica.
And one more thing, the trial period could be longer. A week is too short!

(lol) You are absolutely right Method77. This is still a good program, but it would be so much better if they ever include support for ogg-vorbis. I particularly like the normalizing and silence trimming features. Maybe Acoustica doesn't want to change the name. Of course, they could always rename it to "Acoustica CD Burner" and just leave off the "MP3" part.

Roadblock would say: "still no ogg support?"
I agree

Shareware? Burrrn and burnatonce are freeware, and they support more formats.

This program seems to be moving backwards instead of forward. Ogg support is long overdue.
