Publisher's Description

Acronis Disk Director is the only disk partitioning software that allows you to automatically or manually resize, copy, and move partitions without losing data. It also lets you reorganize the hard disk drive structure and optimize disk space usage. If you use your computer for different purposes or wish to try a new operating system, it is safer and more convenient to use an operating environment that is completely separate from your business applications, entertainment, children's files and other data. It provides a powerful, reliable, and easy-to-use way to manage booting of multiple operating systems on a single PC. In the event of the accidental loss of a partition, it allows you to automatically recover any deleted or lost partition with any file system by booting from a special recovery CD or diskette, even if your operating system fails to boot.

Uriel is a lier.

DD11 does support Windows 7.

Many functions from DD10 were removed (like wiping partitions). Pity.

Finally compatible With Windows 7. What took them so long? The 10 version killed my OS but thankfully I keep backups. They forced me to try Partition Wizard Free edition after which I bought a pro license for one third the price of what Acronis is charging. One would think that Acronis would be able to keep up with the times and not continue living in the XP days.

Bloated. Not fully tested - one example it will crash/freeze if run with a USB drive inserted that has been encrypted with bitlocker.
There are far better and free alternatives out there. Save your money.

Finally a new build. The last one was ~10 months old. I hope this one improves compatibility with new hardware and brings Vista support.

Very good program. A nice replacement for the Norton Partition Magic. It seems that Acronis is becoming a name you know you can trust.

One of my good friends recommended me to use Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 to repartition my hard drive. I’m myself pretty new to this type of software and was a bit nervous when I first ran Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0.. I was particularly concerned about the data safety. However, the product overcame all my expectations! I successfully resized my 120 GB hard drive (including the system partition) and Acronis didn’t let me down: all my data were safe and sound after resizing! I’m very pleased with the software and I now can recommend it to all who is looking for the software of this type.

I want test it too. But the sharewaretest was USELESS - the important functions are deactivated. What is this for a idea? Sorry, now I must rate it low - maybe it was a fine tool - But the chaps wanted not to let me test.

I enjoy working with Acronis Disk Director Suite. I must admit that it is very stable and reliable software. What I appreciate much is that it alerts if a partition being modified has bad blocks. It means that you need to repair your hard drive or partition using Windows “Chkdsk” utility. So Disk Director will not fail on resizing a partition if it dumps a bad block there. Moreover this software is fast in comparison with other partitioning software. Another significant advantage of Acronis Disk Director is its smart and very user-friendly interface. I can recommend this software both to a computer newbie and techie.

It's fine; but this DEMO is useless because a few important functions are DEACTIVATED.
Real meaningful testing is not possible thereby.
Only 2 points.

In 1997 I bought my first computer, so I can't consider myself as an experienced user.
My first computer had only one partition, its size sounds funny now:-) the word "partition" itself was quite weird to me.
I had no idea on how to optimize disk space usage and make it more secure.

Now I'm studying linux(that's the future!)
and I have:
2 linux partitions(Ext3 for fedora 3 and reiser for suse 9.2)
1 FAT32 for Win98SE
2 NTFS for data and WinXP Pro

I've managed to create this layout easily using the disk director from Acronis(no linux knowledge at all!). Earlier I used their Partition Expert 2003 to repartition and that worked great too!
I thnk both programs are wonderful!
besides I use embedded OS manager(selector) to set up multibooting as linux loaders lack that reliability and interface.

Last night my system was hit by a strange virus. It rebooted the PC and destroyed all my
partitions. I was on the verge of despair as I don't perform any backups at all!! But remembered
that I had the rescue CD made with Acronis Disk Director. I booted my PC with it and found out that it contains Recovery Expert module which had easily recovered my deleted partitions!!! That's perfect, I thought. Great product with an intuitive interface!
