You can attach images and such (kinda) if you insert a cell on the doc. and paste whatever you want to embed into the cell.

I know, this is for Windows, but korganizer (also as part of kontact) has been supporting this for ages now. Maybe Sunbird will support it also.

Anyway, works, but nothing unusual, so I'll give it a 4.

this is really neat!

While unintentional, it did occur to me at one point of having a program that performs such as this.

I kan keep track of just how an information changes chronologically using this.

it's beta so i'm expecting bugs, but none so far has been encountered.

as for minimizing to system tray, try trayconizer. It's just 4kb more or less.

i am not a heavy journaler but i like having the option and with an app that is portable. this one fits that bill. I have been using idailydiary but might switch because this interface is more functional with the tree view.

advanced diary could benefit from some of the ideas that have been incorporated into idailydiary like being able to password protect from minimize, minimize/close to tray, and the ability to change the interface colors (powder blue is not my thing).

Looks like it might be a good program but I get an error telling me that I'm missing "mtxclu.dll" which is already installed in my system.

If I can get it to work I'll look at upgrading my review of the program. I also tried their website but it was way to sloooow this morning.

I am looking for work. In the state i am from you need to keep a log of all places you applied to. I am doing this with "Advanced Diary ". It works well, and i can't seem to find any errors in it yet. I am very pleased with this program.

First off, I would like to mention that I downloaded this yesterday when it was added... and I had the POPUP 111 everytime I clicked on a Date in the calander, and when doin other things, So I sent an e-mail to them and they got back to me within the next couple of hours and said that they forgot to remove a Debug code or something, and to redownload it and it would be fixed. And I just downloaded it again and now it works fine.
Just remember guys, This IS a beta program and these things happen. All you have to do is send them a bug report and they will fix it right up. That is how you know if a place actually cares, there are some I have sent an e-mail and NEVER heard back from them. So, if you had this error you can redownload it and it will work just right..

But, like someone else said.. I'm not a 16 yr old girl.. HEHE but there are times that I would like to write down things that my kids have done, and stuff like that, that I would love to remember. They only grow up ONCE. I would never write down in a REAL diary, but for some reason I'm compelled to write down daily activities in a diary like this. I'm giving it a 5 cause it seems nice, better than 2 others that I have used in the past.. and they were not free.. And also that they got back to me so fast and fixed the bug immediately. That is Very cool.

A totally EXCELLENT program! One minor addition I'd like -- when you do a search for text in v .1.1 Build 28 it only pulls up the page it's on, doesn't highlight the selection. So, if you have long pages, you have to scroll through matching page(s)to find the text. I emailed this suggestion to them a while ago, and they said they'd be adding it to a later version. Haven't tried this vers yet to see if it's there yet.

A note to "pluto2se" or anyone else-- if you want to see a similar diary-like freew proggie, be sure to try iDaily Diary. It comes in both freeware & SW versions. I really, really like that prog, maybe a bit more than this Advanced Diary. You can find iDaily Diary at:

A nice one. Except one annoying "111" popup it works fine. I like the idea. Let's see, if I can keep up with it on a daily base. But that's more a problem of the user;)

Believe me, I've looked for diary programs for 2 or 3 hours on the net, this is one of the best you can find, add to that the price, free, and you can't beat this, no way!
