Publisher's Description

Advanced Networking Pack for Windows XP is a set of platform technologies designed to run on Windows XP SP1 to enable the use and deployment of distributed, peer-to-peer applications based on Internet standards. The update includes a new version of the IPv6 stack, including support for NAT traversal for IPv6 applications. An IPv6 firewall is included to protect the end-user's machine from unsolicited IPv6 traffic, while the peer-to-peer platform makes it simple to write distributed solutions.

Well, at least something good came out of it: faster (non ipv6) internet experience! I'm supposing the same as the other 2 reviewers that the core of the IP stack has been improved. Could not test the IPv6 nor the respective firewall, though.
(anyone knows of an IPv6 site that we can test the ping6 on?)

Well it is possible that other than the addition of IPV6 that MS improved the TCP/IP stack which in turn can give you slightly better performance.

Well.. I downloaded and installed this pack and don't really have anything to test it with or know what to look for anyway. It may just be me, but it seems my computer is a little snappier since the install for whatever reasons.
