Alf is a customizable flash character which you can put on any Web site. It accepts input from the keyboard and responds in a human voice (optionally your own) with lip synchronization. Its input/output patterns are programmed in a syntax called Nascent Artificial Intelligence. It can be Jessica the saleslady, Ronald the teacher, Cathy the site guide, Erwin the troubadour or any other implementation you can think of.
