Publisher's Description
Algebrus is a sophisticated software for scientific and general purpose calculations. It provides user with numerous mathematical and analysis functions, and allows unlimited extension of its functionality by means of user-developed routines and libraries. Extendibility is based on a built-in simple to learn and yet powerful programming language XPascal. It can be used both as a simple "evaluate-while-typing" calculator and as a powerful mathematical analysis application, which includes graphic plots of functions and data, command line execution console, and a syntax-highlighted XPascal editor as a part of the integrated development environment.

I taught a local 9th grade algebra class a chapter of their book using Algebrus and they loved it. With the added tools in this 2.x version, you gain some serious power, among which is the ability to break down your equations step-by-step, which makes them easier to follow, teach, or learn. Fantastic all around.

Well, I've been following it for few months, and I can see it becoming better with each releases.
I had a major grip about the lack of examples, and it seems they are on the way to sort it out. I managed to draw some 2D and 3D plots myself, but that's the kind of stuff they definitely need to include as examples.
Also, since the application works without the need for external files, maybe a plain zip file option for people allergic to installers like me would be great :) For now, I keep on installing it, copying the files, and uninstalling it.
Anyway, I use it as my everyday calculator on top of the extra features, and it gets 5 stars from me. Only because it's free of course, I understand that Maple, Mathematica, MatLab and other commercial alternatives are in a different league.

Algebrus is THE best calculator/graphing software around today. It's amazingly intelligent, and even when I tried to trick it with sloppy syntax and equation writing, it still returned the correct results. Moreover, the interface is customizable. This is a great and welcome addition to current calculator software.
