Sorry for this "bad" rate. But I think also, that ALKONOST put a "old program idea into a new Package" and then you must pay money for it. Why ?? - Now, I use a lot of months "Dirky's Maxi Fomatter", freeware for students or pupils. The surface is also almost identical.
Why do now "ALKONOST" requiring money for a DUPLICAT of FREEWARE soft ??

Great Prog for people like me who have to span progs onto two or more disk's for the sake of a few kilobytes.

as medlir stated, this is to review dIRC, not it's scripting ability. For a very early beta, it shows great promise. There are a few innovative features as well as some welcome adjustments to the 'standard' functionality of mIRC(multi-server, spellcheck, etc). When the program starts to become more stable and feature-complete, hopefully the author will turn more time toward scripting identifiers so that it CAN compete with mIRC on a script level basis.

Actually the author calls it "Trial Ware" Here's an excerpt from the readme.txt:
MaxFormat can format floppies to the current standard formats for 3.5 inch disk of 1.4MB and 720K, and the 5.25 inch disks of 1.2MB and 360K, plus additional nonstandard formats: the 1.72MB and the 1.68MB DMF (3.5 inch disk) and 1.5MB (5.25 inch disks).
The DMF (1.68MB) format is often used for distribution floppies under Windows 95/98 and Windows NT.
1.72MB and 1.5MB formats are not compatible with Windows NT.
MaxFormat doesn't work in Windows SE.
MaxFormat determines the type and number of floppy drives on your system and provides very fast formatting as multi-tasking background operation. In addition to formatting floppies, MaxFormat can also verify, make bootable (even with DMF formats!), clear disks, and format only when needed.

Such a shame - this would be a typical freeware application, but another author felt like making money from it...

It works really well it still has a long way to go. When you can fit 3 megs on a 3.5 give me a call. The Program itself uses way too much cpu power. but over all it worked very well
