Allensoft TexEdit is a text editor with a tabbed multi-window interface. It has syntax highlighting for several languages and the ability for the user to add more languages if they wish. It has plugin support with two plugins included with the download. There is also the ability to compile from within the program, so you don't need to leave and run command line programs.
