Publisher's Description
AntiFreeze is an emergency task manager for unresponsive or hanging systems. It is a utility with a very small footprint, sitting in your tray and waiting for you to press the hotkey combination (ALT+CTRL+WIN+HOME by default). You should use it only in emergency situations, consider it an alternative for the reset button.
Currently AntiFreeze is free for non-commercial use only.

It doesn't work, it just crashes your system when you press the hotkey.

I gess the release date is stated wrong, should be pronounced as the 1. april :)
Stay away!

omg, it's true what the other reviewers say, listen to them, lol.
this is meant to freeze (suspend) the whole system and i appreciate this fresh inovation in the dirty buisness of killing tasks.
but it not only just shows it's about dialogue instead of its main window (giving an error about invalid image size, prior to that) but also suspends itself (plus the mouse, almost), thus effectively blocking any option but that of hitting the reset button. which i did after waiting a minute for it to respond in anyway to my helpless mousclicks. lol. good entertainment.
i still like the idea, though. please make it work. and tell if it works, cause i won't try again.

Worthless and huge resource hog.

Is this program a joke? Pressing its hotkey brings up its about dialog.
It suspends all processes, and all input devices run as slow as mollasses. I got Process Explorer running but it wouldn't work properly, probably because most of Windows was FROZEN by this program.
I eventually had to hit my reset button. This program should have been called Plain Water, not AntiFreeze, as it fits the program's functionality better.
For the record I am running XPSP2.
[EDIT: I believe now this occurs when suspending certain processes, even a user's desktop-interactive processes. In my case, suspending TaskSwitchXP causes the entire computer to pretty much deadlock. I will look into this more. It might also occur with the similar MS PowerToy, CoolSwitch.]

I had the same problems, system lockup, no interface to see what was happening.
Tried it a second time after reboot, same thing.
I don't run an anti-virus though, most all I have is on-demand, had to make sure Sunbelt firewall had proper rules for it.
I attributed it to the SP2 requirement.
Should be written for all XP versions if possible, a few of us don't need the xtra baggage MS piles on month after month.

The program suspends all running processes when a certain key combination is pressed. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to play nice with Kaspersky Antivirus 7.x(the Antifreeze Taskmanager doesn't show up and the computer freezes). This is probably because of the self-defense mechanisms of Kaspersky, I suppose....

Too limited. I use Process Explorer, with the always-on-top and hide-when-minimized options enabled. I run it at high priority (you could even use real-time priority if you wanted). If something is devouring CPU, I hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and Process Explorer jumps up and lets me go on a killing (or suspending) spree.

this app would be very helpful back on Windows 98.. since WinXP in on market freeze prob are rare. i dont even remember the last time my pc froze.
