andy2004, the problem is that your legacy OS - Windows 7 - does not have all of the necessary updates. That includes critical updates that allow TLS 1.2 which you should have! Get all of the updates for your OS, or take the upgrade to Windows 10 using the Media Creation Tool or Upgrade Assistant so you can be on a supported OS.
I recommend you use the built in Report a Bug function under the Help menu to see if we can isolate the issue. I've helped one other person with this issue and their problem was also because they were missing the critical TLS 1.2 support update.

Pointless..whilst the app runs the left screen is completely empty because of SSL/TLS secure channel error.. I tried both the installed and portable version.. And both the same.. I'm running windows 7 ultimate.. so until i can figure out why i'm getting the error message when every other app that uses the internet works flawlessly..

I'm setting up an old Dell XP for the kids and this is a handy program as it has nearly everything on it that I use, all in one package.
I particularly like the list of utilities and malware program uninstallers.
It should include the a-squared free malware scanner as it is one of the most thorough since it joined forces with OnLine Armor.

It is the easiest way for me to get the majority of the programs I use on my PC instead of getting them one at time. I can quickly download what I need for my PC.

I'm not sure I see the point... somehow I thought it would compare the versions you already have with what's available to download but it's not automated at all. It downloaded everything I asked for, but they were the same versions I already had - and in several cases older ones. Maybe worthwhile for a new Windows install, but for further use I would suggest FileHippo.com or Secunia's update checkers. 3 for doing what it says it will do.

Hey, MORON, check your spelling. His company wouldn't give him a "tumbdrive". They might have given him a thumbdrive though. And, I am pretty sure his "oranization" wouldn't approve anything for him, but his organization might have.

Pros: Free tool, built in solutions, no need to search everywhere online if you're infected.
Cons: None!

Pros: Looks good with the features listed.
Cons: On running the app.. i get a could not create a SSL/TLS secure channel
Bottom Line: Pointless..whilst the app runs the left screen is completely empty because of SSL/TLS secure channel error.. I tried both the installed and portable version.. And both the same.. Excellent piece of software. 1-stop shopping for most of your most trusted and needed software. Quickly and effortlessly downloads the latest versions of well trusted software utilities that many knowledgable techs use daily. Does what it says it does, as a PC Tech this tool is very helpful for spyware removal. And auto-updating the entries without having to download a new client is an awesome idea.
I also have clients that i'll be recommending this tool to. Not only does it save me from telling them where to download each tool, i just have to tell them what package to download.

so i'm supposed to hand download every tool whenever i need to update my thumb drive? I run this tool to download all the essential tools for my tech thumbdrive, and whenever i need to repair a computer i just plug in the thumbdrive and it has the latest version of all the programs i use.

Are you a pctech for indiviual people, or are you working in an enterprise situation where you're responsible for 100's or 1000's of pc's? If I caught a tech using something like this at my company I would probably fire the idiot on the spot. Plus, who's to say these tools are the right ones to use? How do you know for sure where these magicial freeware tools are coming from? Perhpas infected and being transported to unsuspecting people? You gonna do netstats and traceroutes or perhaps decrypt some packets with ethereal to make sure? gee yeah that sounds like a real timesaver. It's software like this and bozo techs who use them that end up screwing people machines up.

I think the author is staking the reviews here, no one in their right mind would use this in an enterprise enviornment and these false 'positive' reviews are obviously the work of the author.
