Publisher's Description
BeeNut is a multi-protocol instant messenger for Windows platform. It is compatible with MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger (Y!), AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ, and QQ. The free chat client makes your chat all in one free chat platform and BeeNut users can log in to multiple accounts on multiple IM networks simultaneously. This means that you can be free chatting with friends on MSN Messenger, talking to a friend on Yahoo Messenger, while searching for an ICQ chat buddy all at the same time.

emredondo:"A complex virus/spyware/malware program. Please, avoid it."
The above review and unwarranted. As developer BeeNut's developer, anyone's welcome to criticize our product but please do not make claims that's untrue.
SmackDaddy69:"I have brought this to the attention of the BeeNut crew, but although the description (as well as the downloads page) says it offers AOL IM capabilities...it currently does not."
I am not sure to whom SmackDaddy69 brought this up to but I can clear thing up by telling everyone here that BeeNut does support both AOL and ICQ since they're basically the same thing.

The License Agreement on the site contains the following:
3. Fees. BeeNut doesn't charge any fees at the moment.
I don't know if the site was changed or if it's still in the EULA when installing the software. Nobody in their right mind will spend $200 on an IM client! It looks like a good app and I was willing to try it, but not if there is some sort of trickery going on. This isn't the way to make a good impression with a new piece of software. If you read the site, it certainly seems like this software will eventually be paid software, if this already hasn't happened.

@shanepitman
when I asked them the same question they told me this.
[Voronica] hi
[Visitor] hello, I have just 1 question
[Visitor] I was reading over the EULA and i noticed.. "3. BeeNut is a shareware product. It may be used as [sic] US$200/year." please tell me what this means...
[Voronica] It was a mistake.
[Voronica] Bye. Don't play.
ya... anyways i think its cool that they are making more "freeware" multi-protocol instant messengers. this one might be ending up a good one. who knows.

I used the "Click here to chat with us" live support chat link on their web site. Here's the log. Not exactly comforting, although without asking for a credit card or some other form of payment, there's nothing to worry about. It just makes you wonder what they plan when it goes from beta to release. At any rate, here's what their support person said.
[Voronica] Yes.
[Visitor] Hi, quick question
[Visitor] in the EULA there is the following interesting tidbit of information:
"3. BeeNut is a shareware product. It may be used as [sic] US$200/year."
[Visitor] What does that mean?
[Voronica] Nothing.
[Voronica] It means nothing.

Wow. Downloaded and installed without incident, but in the EULA there is the following interesting tidbit of information:
"3. BeeNut is a shareware product. It may be used as [sic] US$200/year."
Even if this is, in some way, a total error on someone's part, I want nothing to do with it.
Promptly uninstalled, and all references to BeeNut and Leader China Ltd. were promptly removed from my registry.
