Publisher's Description
Brilliant Database is a simple, straightforward, and easy-to-use database that has a tree-like structure. The main distinctive feature is what is called "freestyle forms", which means that there are no rigid templates and structures that you have to use. This unique feature allows you to design your database as you wish, thus making working with database much easier.

Liked:
Good data massaging capabilities.
Custom export templates.
Script editor.
Form designer.
Stability (never lost data or crashed the app in 3 years of use).
Query builder.
Disliked:
Support is absent of late, no forum.
UI is kinda sticky, like a VB app.
Re-linking to files via the URL field is a chore (dialog won't open at existing path).
Couldn't parse a path to show just the filename.
Couldn't link a drop-down-list to a list of field entries.
Couldn't show column headers for mixed record types in the record-list pane.
Couldn't nest or group records in the record-list pane.
Couldn't build a query that checks if a field string is contained-by another field string.
Couldn't use if/then in a text formula (must be scripted instead).
Couldn't use modulo (%) in formulas.
Couldn't format text to use the following characters: ; [ ]
Couldn't add local modifier data to relational-field records, EG: product prices from a relational field of products * quantities in the local field.
Would like to have seen:
More comprehensive formatting and querying functions.
Optional WYSIWYG form editing that can be exported or printed as-is.
ToDoList-style file re-linking.
Portable version.
Linux version.
