I used to use this program until I found Advanced File Organizer. Both programs do pretty much the same thing, but the search function on CD Bank Cat. was entirely too slow.... I mean, slow enough for me to look for another program.

Great app for cataloging data backups. It's very fast at indexing and has an option to produce a cd/dvd cover.

I have mine listed:

001
002
003
--
025
etc.

Makes it easy to find where an app has been stored.

You can also break your collection into category's:

1. Music
2. Video
3. Apps
4. Documents

The Author is very friendly and responsive to feature request.

I will admit that I have NOT tried ALL of this genre of software, that is available. Therefore, this is not a comparision with any other similiar software.
PROS
1.It is fast.
2.It is easy to learn.
3.It is a small application to install.

CONS
1 It IS beta, so be prepared for some surprises.
2. It crashes (a lot) with Windows XP SP2.

When they get the bugs all worked out, it should become a very good application for cataloging of CD's and DVD's
ADDENDUM
I have been testing/using this program for the past few days, and to be fair I wanted to provide some feedback.
Although there are some MINOR bugs to be worked out, this id a very good application, and does what it was designed to do.
The crashes I had mentioned are being aggressively investigated by the developers and they DO provide good customer support. (No, I do not work for them)
Here are my lists of improvements, that I would like to see.
1. It should stay easy-to-use, and clear.
2. It needs a more powerful and nicer reporting method.
I have changed my vote to 4, based on my testing.

i've been using this among other cataloguers.

Only gripe is that, the total file size on some cd's are inaccurate, which results in an inaccurate display of the sum total file size.

Very very nice indeed. And like the other reviewer said, FAST! If you're looking for a freeware alternative, I'd suggest "Virtual CD" - nice and fast, though a few more options in V-CD would be nice, like not checking ALL compressed files for integrity [tho this can be disabled]. Believe me, I've tried ALL the freeware catalogers, like InSideCat [clunky & ug-lee], DiscCat [or some similar name] ditto, buggy, and s-l-o-w.
So, for quick no-frills cataloging in freeware, try Virtual CD. For good, basic SW cataloging, you can't do much better than CD Bank Cataloguer.

After using Advance Disk Cataloger (ADC) and SuperCat I didn't think anything would be as good or as fast but for some reason I decided to give this a try.

The UI is much prettier then the other two I just mentioned. It's as fast at indexing as the first two something that surpised me since SuperCat is just screaming fast and ADC is no slouch.

The feature that really jumped out at me was the FR cd cover utility that can be added on. The cool cd covers that can be created is just a clutch feature.

This is a nice disc cataloger. It has a pretty nice interface. I wish the reports could be a little better, it's hard to distinguish between files & folders in the report. The folders should be bold or italicized.
