Chaperone Personal is a desktop control utility for both the home and office. Packed with features it is based on the premise that there are users who shouldn't have access to all installed programs all the time. It is ideal for parents wanting to control access to certain programs by minors or employers who need to control how their computer assets are used. Most common methods of controlling what programs users can run are based on preventing the program from being run at any time. It gives the added flexibility of enhancing this control by allowing an independent schedule for each program that defines when it can be run. These schedules can either take the form of allowing the program to run for a maximum number of hours per day or according to a defined schedule where individual of 15-min time periods can be set to either permit or deny access to the program. These schedules can also be password protected so authorized users can access them at any time. It can even be used to password protect the Windows Date/Time change dialog so the user can't override the schedule by simply resetting the computers date or time.
