I recorded the six open strings of my guitar (eBGDAE) and the seven major chords (ABCDEFG) with Audacity. The program correctly identified two of the strings and three of the chords. I tried it with a .wav of Dylan's Blowin' In The Wind, it was about 30% correct. Note/chord recognition is a complex thing to do, that's why I tested it with single notes and simple chords. That the program was not able to correctly identify even these, leads me to think it's not ready for prime time.
