yes i know they warn you its supported by bundleware, but not the nice type you can easily opt out (as it seems to install things in the background and my antivirus went basaltic!!!).

On the main issue is that very very few of the channels actually work.

DO NOT TOUCH!

I paid for this software, you still have to download the pro version from here or elsewhere. Once you buy it, You get sent a link to a unlock app.

I don't see why Chris, could not host a free add version for he's paid customers on his own site. After all it cost £24 I'dd expect for this.

Plugins - You need some for this. And why not integrate these into Chris Tv (Chris?

Get these to download for watching streams.

1./ Flash player.
2./ Real Player
3./ SopCast_Filter
4./ veetle-0.9.19
5./ vlc-2.0.7-win32

(Chris) You have a good Internet Tv software, You really could Implement a few extras (Given sometime) Integrate the above plugins to your program.

Add a few more favorites list, then just one. Four would be even better.
Recording of video in pro, Add some over free plugins to record in over formats dude.

Add a rate list and reply box, if stream is broken.

Then i give you 5 Stars' if you can improve on a good few request of mine.

Guys I think you are overeacting. At installation I just needed to decline all the other softwares that came with ChrisTV Online 8.50 bundle. And the antivirus did not complained, yep I've used Kaspersky maybe this is not the best one :)

I think this is a handy tool with a cool interface, better that a lot of others free ones I've seen. You can watch online channels over the Internet among them also some premium channels. Sometimes they don't work, I suppose because URLs/servers are changing, but they ussually update them fast. So for me it works, I can record my favorite shows from UK channels and also I watch movies.

Overall I can say it's a good software and if you like JTV or Veetle you will have fun.

Cheers!

My anti-virus blocked two toolbars during install (Adware.Win32.RelevantKnowledge.a (v)). WinPatrol also alerted me to the fact that it was modifying internet explorer. Most of the TV channels didn't work. And when I uninstalled it with Revo Uninstaller Pro, it messed my settings in Palemoon right up to the point that everything was the default.

I cannot speak for the Quality of the app itself mainly because I have not been able to get it to work with my MSI TV@nywhere card. it does however work with my ATI AIW 9800 Pro with no problem at all and does have some great features that are not available in the ATI or MSI media center soft wares.
Another distressing thing is that both the
ChrisTV PVR lite and Chris TV online free installers appear to be infected with adware, both downloaded from their site in the last 24 hours.
it tries to install "Relevant Knowledge" Ad-ware.... Ad-Aware caught it and the Chris TV software installed as expected and runs just fine.
Im giving a 3/5 only because the installed has ad-ware in it..
Excellent app packed with features, just make sure you have ad aware running before you install, Avast did not catch the Ad-ware's attempt to install...

This software has the potential to be the best, but it's undermined by almost non-existent technical support from the developer, including for customers who paid for it. Though there are people who complain about it, serious bugs remain unresolved, without any sign of improvement in the future.
Test the Lite version, if you intend to purchase it. But don't expect to get it working or to receive support for getting it working again, if you change your OS, your tuner's drivers or your TV tuner altogether.

A rating of 1 star for poor support...

If you want to spend 60 US dollars for Chris TV Pro, that's Ok because it is a top quality product with more features than most will ever use. But on the other hand, either the KM Player or BS Player may meet your needs for a TV player as well as both being full featured multi-media centers. I can't speak for DScaler since it's not compatible with my tuner card. As for K!TV, it's obsolete.

I guess as a novelty watching a talk show in Cuba or news in Bangkok may be fun for awhile but there are many other apps that would get my twenty dollar bill.

As for the app itself, it is about as user friendly as it can be. Some streams require Real Player (No Thanks) The app is a 14 day trial with nags.

Great application, obviously deserves 5/5, however I switched to DScaler and it fits my needs perfectly and it's open-source!

I’m using it right now and it works flawlessly so far, really enjoying it.
The interface is really easy to use.
I can watch tv or ondemand streams while writing some text in Word just by draging the video window in right-upper corner of my desktop and activate Always on top feature
Really nice :)

P.S. : You get many tv and radio stations from around the world with great quality.

This program is good... but if you want all the feature you have to pay and it's quite expensive comparing to other apps of the same kind.

I'm not telling that the author "have to eat" as it is said on an other review but its attitude was bad.

As I previously said, the author used people to test its app and to translate it but its attitude was bad when it come to paid versions...

I'll stick to K!Tv wich is Open Source and does what I need. Furthermore K!Tv is being totally rewrited and the future version will be a blast ;)

Anyway this is a good program.. if you can afford it... (about 40€ or 50$ for the Pro version)

Uses very low CPU resources on a cheapy TV card. Was using K!TV which used around 60% CPU whereas this is only using 16%.

ArabianNight, you gave it a low mark because the programmer wants to eat ? Do you work during the day for free?

How about rating the quality of the software and its features?

This App has a good GUI , supports a wide range of tuner cards and most releases have been quite stable. The Software is superior to the default software shipped with most Tuner cards , that alone sets it apart, the price is a bit high(I can buy a tuner card for the same price), however the author does offer two other alternatives.
ChrisTV Standard 4.60 and ChrisTV Lite 4.60

I would take the risk and try it because its a great program.
