Publisher's Description

ClipMate enhances the Windows clipboard, making it a true power tool. The cut/copy paste capability of Windows works well for transferring single items of data, but is not useful if you want to move a lot of data or keep data longer than until your next cut or copy (at which time Windows overwrites the clipboard whether you were ready or not). It works alongside the regular Windows clipboard and remembers every piece of data (both text and graphics) that you cut or copy. Once your data is in ClipMate, you can select an item and it is automatically placed back on the clipboard or directly into the application you were using. You can view, print, edit, reformat, convert to upper/lower case, search, rename, and reorder clip items. There is even a built-in spellchecker. You can create an unlimited number of collections to store your data, and you have full control over the retention rules so that your collections will fit your own work process.

Clipmate 7.3 is BY FAR the best clipboard manager program I've ever used.

I have been using it for a little over a year, and have yet to find fault with it.

I agree ClipMate is sluggish. I tried this version after moving to Clipcache. But Clipcache remains in a class of it's own. It's much, much better.

ClipMate is surely well-featured, but it has always been unstable for me. It's also far from snappy in how its window pops on screen. It would get a sure 5 from me if it was reliable, but since it crashes frequently (despite DB rebuilds, uninstall/reinstalls, working with the author, etc.), it barely earns a 3.

Best Clipboard app I've used so far. This program has saved me time on many many occasions.

One of the handiest programs around. What serious writer or computer geek could live without this gem? I've been using it for years and it's the first thing I install on a new machine. This program is frequently updated and the support is second to none. Expect near instant email response to questions or problems.

I'm glad it has an "a" in the version number. If it was just "7.1.04.165" I never would have touched it.

This program is king.
A must for anyone who does a lot of writing or editing. Probably the single, most useful program on my computer.
