Publisher's Description
Cloudmark Desktop (formerly SafetyBar) consists of over a million email users, all sending feedback to Cloudmark about which messages are spam or phishing and which ones are legitimate. This information helps everyone in the network. When a user clicks the Block Spam or Block Phish buttons, Cloudmark compares this feedback with feedback from other users. If other users in the network also consider the message to be spam or fraud, then similar messages are automatically blocked in the future, for all users in the network.

It's ok, except for the non-removeable taskbar. But then again, why would you want to remove the controls for an app that you run with Outlook?
In all, it does no better or worse than SpamBayes plugin for Outlook. And SpamBayes is free.

What the hell are you guys talking about? This program is not free! The guy needs to make the tool bar smaller ... and removable before he can get a 5 rating!
Use the rating system right ... or else others will be paying for something that's not well designed!

The toolbar can be made small. (don't show statistic)
Now that it is official out of beta, I am wondering will they turn off the beta product.

Simple and effective. Few minor points: It insists on creating a new toolbar to your outlook (can't turn off) and the toolbar takes a lot of screen space with this release. Second, it can only be used with Outlook at the moment, but this should improve in the future. A great and free program nevertheless!

3828 Email(s) checked.
2119 Spam(s) caught.
Think this says enough. Great program, no problems with it all, just love it. Saves me deleting all the crap myself.

Excellent program!!! I have been using it for about a week now and it has worked without error. It creates a nice Spam folder for you (if you'd like) which I use to make sure it hasn't caught any of my actual mail. If it does, you can click the unblock button and it won't happen ever again. The block list works OK in Outlook, but this is by far better. Also, the fact that you can add in your own exception list and also a list to block everytime is another big plus for me. One of the best features I can find in this program though, is the fact that if it does miss an email, you push one button on the toolbar, it is deleted, and an e-mail goes to cloudmark reporting it and in future updates it will be blocked for all users. I can't find anything bad with it at all!! It makes me wonder why people pay for shareware programs that do the same thing as this amazing freeware program.

Hi all!
I've been using SpamNet for quite a while now, and can recommend it to everyone! It is of course not 100% perfect, but it learns... ;)

I've been using this program at work and at home now for about a week and I love it. My work email especially since it is posted on the website gets harvested and receives tons of spam every day. So far I've had great success. About 90% I'd say. Definitly something to use if you use outlook. I switched from Outlook Express to outlook just to be able to run it.

I can't say I've seen any problems with decreased spam-catching ability. The counter is currently showing that it's successfully caught 900 spams now, in the 2 months since I last rebuilt this PC. I can't say that I've had to block many spams myself, and I've never had an email blocked that I actually wanted to keep.

I agree the spam-catching ability seems to have dwindled a bit in recent months. But especially if they are aware of this and able to fix it, this program will continue to be one of my must-haves. Until then, 50% spam reduction is still fairly significant considering all the junk one receives having the same email address for over 9 years.

A good program getting better.
I've used Spamnet for several months. Using their "Whitelist", I've been able to cut the number of non-spam emails the program thought was spam down to zero.
However, the percentage of actual spam they've caught has gotten worse. At present, only about 50% of my spam is being sent to the Spam folder, so I decided to try to contact a Spamnet Support representative. They gave me a telephone number which I called (it was a 405 number - San Francisco) and I spoke with the representative for about 30 minutes. I emailed a log with the spam that had not been caught. He checked it and told me that the spammers that sent it had been able to get around their scanner by doing something differently than other spammers and that Spamnet was working on a way to fix this problem, and that the patch would be out in about a month.
I like the program, but I am really impressed by their support. Just try to get support like that from Microsoft or ...?

It works! Using it with Outlook XP and catches most of the spam... but also dumps some of the spam I don't mind getting from some of the sites I visit regularly..No biggie, though, because you only have to "Unblock" to resolve. Well worth the download! Recommended.
