Publisher's Description

CoolPDF is a way to create PDF documents. It works as a printer driver, making PDF files of anything that can normally be printed. It provides such quality settings as default, screen, ebook, print, and prepress optimized. The resolution of PDF documents produced by it can be lowered to 72 dpi or enhanced to 4000 dpi. Encryption features are available for advanced users who want to secure a PDF document by setting a user password and owner password or simply setting user access permissions to protect the PDF document from printing, modifying, copying, filling, extracting, assembling or annotating.

One reason why someone might buy it - it's way more professional than the other free (and even pay for) simple PDF creators. I installed it (which was very slick and trouble free) and then printed (from Visio 2003) and the PDF looked just like it should. Others had problems (some lines wrong thickness, some text grabled, etc). Great easy option interface. Seems like this one is simply easy to use, trouble free PDF creation.

Why would anyone buy this when there a number of free applications available that do all or most of this like PDF Creator or FreePDF XP to name just two. Both have several different quality settings, password encryption etc. No doubt this is a good programme, but $99 seems excessive to say the least?
