Works well enough for freeware. It has some glitches.
You eventually learn to work around most of its little quirks.

Try Dr. Divx 2, DivX Create or AutoGK 2.27(choose xvid or divx; it MUST be 2.27 or later). Get the latest files even if Beta. AutoGK auto installs Xvid. You'll need to install the Divx yourself. I don't know if the Divx 6 encoding codec times out or just the main Create program.
AutoGK is the best starter method. Dr. DivX is more complicated but a very good choice once you know what you are doing. Divx Create gives few choices but does work and is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Whatever you use, try experimenting with converting SMALL files such as DVD vob segments or divx movie trailers to get a feel for the software without wasting much time. (also you can compare quality between settings this way. Use VideoInspector or other similar program to right-click and easily determine bitrates of videofiles)
If you don't care about the format, Nero is the easiest with best quality. The Nero Standard MP4 file can be converted to view in a Divx player with MP4CAM2AVI.

Works pretty well but no configuration for codec used-you need to go into your codec and set it but it at least gets the audio in sync with the video-worth a try at least.

Very bad, the program seems to have proper will (it functions when it wants). With me some times it made what he fulfilled, but others it gave some error when he was in 99% or he did not show nada(mas when I reproduce the archive the same is damaged). I believe that one program that comes to make what this says to make comes to be Shareware, good that I was finding I find odd a program with a so interesting function to be freeware.
