I compare it with NERO and CloneDVD.
The quality from DVD2one is definitly not so good like NERO. if a scene has fast movements in a movie, you can detect Artifarke. The picture are not clear.

The fastest transcoder on the market!!!In my eyes the quality is superior or equal to other transcoders like Recode. They also provide different types of transcoding algorithms, for long, or high action movies.

I don't think the encoder is literally the best available in terms of quality alone, but it may well be the best when both quality and speed are taken into account.

It's impressive enough to replace the venerated but defunct DVD Shrink, if one doesn't mind spending the money.

Curious to know how this version stacks up against Intervideo's DVD Copy 4.

Whatever it's other shortcomings, it has a built-from-scratch proprietary MPEG2 encoder that blows all the competition out of the water for Quality and speed (not quality VS. speed but quality AND speed!). Wish that Ahead would licence it off the makers for Reloaded....

This program even using a seperate ripper like DVDDecrypter is still significantly faster than DVDShrink and has better output quality and features like Join. The only downside is you have to kick out a few bucks, which I did. DVDShrink will not run in 98Lite environment since it was coded in a different language after version 1.xx so my decision was easy to purchase it. To me it was worth the $50 +/-. They even joined the modern age and included an installer! Pure Extacy!

I never tried this program 'cause i had to decrypt the DVD first. Why should i use 2 programs when DVD Shrink does it all?

This program rules! You'll need a DVD Decrypting software (i.e. DVDDecryter) before you can downsample the movie. One you've done that, it will take any where from 10mins to 40minutes depending on the speed of your processor and original size of movie. After that's done, just fire up your favorite DVD burning software (Nero for me) & copy the files to the VIDEO_TS folder an then burn! Easy as cake

This program was the king for about 2 weeks. With InstantCopy, DVD95Copy and the freeware DVDShrink all coming out packed with features that blow by DVD2One, DVD2One has gone to the back of the bus. It's too bad as they had a good thing going but really shot theirself in the foot when they spent a month trying to retool their antipiracy effort (Which was cracked immediately) instead of working on new features.

This is the ONLY program you need to backup DVD's. Don't waste $100 on DVDxCopy - Get this program and a copy of smart ripper, and you can easily backup DVD's with NO PROBLEMS. This program OWNS!

Yes! It’s true! This program is great! I have test it on a P3@667 and it take less than 40 mins to do the transcoding! This guy did a great job!

CRYO9

you must use smartripper or some other decrypter, but after that it takes only 20 mins to process a dvd movie. this is compared to many hours using ifoedit, then rempeg to compress a dvd. this program does it all in only 20 mins, and the finished product is allways 4.36 gigs (it compresses the amount needed)
