Publisher's Description
Datacastle is a commercial software product that offers to the minute continuous online backup. All protected data is encrypted at AES 256 bit at the sub-file level in addition to encryption of file names and metadata. Keys are randomly generated and encrypted (AES 256 Bit), and can be managed efficiently across multi-tenant environments. We also offer policy driven data deletion, and device trace capability, along with data reduction features, such as single-instance-store (across encrypted data), differential backup and restore of data blocks, and bandwidth throttling. We are looking for active beta testers in exchange for free online backup services.

To answer poundsmack's question: The datacastle business model is to sell through partners like TelCo's, ISPs or Managed Service Providers, or we have an enterprise version that can be deployed in an internal data center. So the answer is that the storage is provided at the partner's datacenter or in the enterprise's datacenter. For the beta we're using servers deployed at RackSpace.
