DefragMentor Premium has some interesting design concepts, but it also has a deal-breaker design flaw: In order to maintain your system, you need to constantly go back into the DefragMentor Premium wizard, and add to the list of files to be defragmented any files which have been added since the last time you modified it. This is because DefragMentor Premium operates on the concept of a list of files to be defragmented, not on partitions to be defragmented.
In other words, you can't simply tell DefragMentor Premium to "Keep C: defragmented". Rather, you can only tell it to "Defragment the files currently on C:". But then if new files are added to C:, you have to go in and repeat, to make DefragMentor Premium aware of them.
I am being charitable with the 2-star rating here, and only rate that highly because I assume that DefragMentor Premium is intended to supplement full-featured defragmentation software, and not replace it. But with a $25 price tag, I just don't see the cost effectiveness.

I have used Diskeeper, and Perfect Disk, and this version of DefragMentor Premium, has soome nice visual features, the screen saver mode has some interesting options. But after using it for awhile, I reinstalled Perfect Disk, and when I booted up, PDisk showed that there there were quite a few files that needed defragmentation. So which program is doing the better job? I am generously giving it this rating hoping the final edition will turn out as a clear rival to the other defrag programs out there.

Not freeware i think:
"NOTE that this BETA VERSION will be expired on 20th of
February 2004. Once it is expired it will need to be replaced with an up-to-date version available at our
Web-site."
I WONDER if the up to date version will be free ?
Wanna bet ?

In Premium version scheduling feature is introduced. I used Defragmentor Lite to defragment my very large Outlook mailbox and the Outlook performance increasing dramatically. Now I can schedule the mailbox defragmentation and so forget about it.
Cool!
