I installed it, ran it, looked at it for a bit, closed it, and opened back up DC++. Bottom line, good software, but there is a much better version of it already out there.

Its a semi decent program. I perfer DC++ over this though any day. Also, Unfortuneatly it seems also that the old version of DC is better. With some work this program could be better....

Dont like it at all. I stick to DC++
- Still eats very much system resources. Around 25-30MB mem.
- Speedlimiting will ban(script) this software on many
servers.
- Contains spyware-

+ User friendly interface.

while a well awaited update to the client, the quality of the client makes you wonder what they have been doing for 2 years. The interface design lacks thought (why show and operator menu when your not an op, etc). The only improvements i could find are bandwidth limiting, and defining separate ports for searches & downloads, and the ability to type in your connection type (those with an OC3 no longer have a reason to lie;) the new NMDC lacks the elegance & features of dc++ and oDC (oDC is a dc++ mod).

This client is still in devlopement, new features will be added soon... among these will be multipule sourced downloades and better management of partial files so it should be easier to get popular files. You have to admit the interface looks better than that windows 3.1 looking DC++. Also the $$$ from the ads pay for the webserver for the "public hubs list", which DC++ and other clients leech off of. Kudos to the programmer for bassically rewritting the entire program in C++ instead of VB. Personally I think the biggest downfall of DC is some of the adolecent ops that ruin the whole community. Eitherway DC is one of many great sources for rare files these days.

spyware/adware stuff... I hate them all. P2P software must be free. About bw limiter, I'm with you: since i'm sharer I put everything i own for everyone without limits. This limits will have bad results on DC network.

I'm an owner too and i know what this means :-(

Stick with dc++ or dc pro (waiting for a more stable release, not bad at all)

3 stars since author put some effort coding this.

It seems to have some nice features, and the ability to cap bandwidth would make DC hubs a lot less painful to use. Although, that will probably lead to DC 2 getting banned in lots of hubs. I think I'll stick with BCDC++ since it has more features, no adware, and no friggin .net Framework garbage to install just to use a petty P2P app.

This program works I'll give it that. Still a little glithcy when you have a lot of dl's queued. I like the feature that you can find different sources for your download when the source logs off (IDK how long ago it was implimented). They need to refine user list of who has slots open for dl. 50% of the time I try to get a list it returns back with 'No slots open'. Funny, I just clicked on the friggin thing. If you're frustated using mIRC or it's too complicated to you, then give this program a try. Just don't go crazy on the queing your downloads.
