Publisher's Description
DirectCD is software that makes your CD recorder as easy to use as a disk drive. You can drag and drop files, rename files, delete files, and create new directories right on your CD-R disc. You can even save files directly from your word processing software, spreadsheet, or other application directly to CD-R. It allows you to copy your data to CD fast, faster than copying the same files to floppy disk or other storage devices. You can save your data to inexpensive CD-R and CD-RW media. Whether you're copying your entire hard disk, or just one file, it makes your job easier. DirectCD software takes advantage of your CD recorder's ability to write small packets of data to the CD, for fast uninterrupted data flow and optimum use of disc space.

Works great for me, but I went to Roxio.com to download a specific patch rather than the patchfile here. Before updating, you really should go to Roxio.com and click on SUPPORT. Then go check out the various update patches that are available. There are many different versions of updates, and some update patches REQUIRE the existence of other files or else you might bungle your update.

I'm running W2K SP1 and I installed the upgrade on my computer. When I rebooted, I lost access to BOTH my DVD and CD-RW. Removed the upgrade and still no luck. Anyone have a solution?

Something is broken by this "upgrade". I am running a vanilla Win98 and after an apparent "trouble free" install, I get the following Gatesian Gibberish: "The DIRECTCD.EXE is linked to missing export CDUDFLIB.DLL:Cdudf_GetMediaSpaceInfo." The Adaptec DIRECTCD software has been OK on my system until now - what gives???
Has anyone else seen this problem?

What's the problem, switch the NAV off or correct the settings - there is no trojaner.

I am unable to access the download because NAV2001 is blocking communications to the adaptec ftp server.
