Publisher's Description

DriveCrypt Plus Pack is a Full disk encryption software package which encrypts the operating system, and allows pre-boot authentication. The user can enter a password on computer start up, before the operating system boots up. DCPP is the only software on the market abel to hide the entire operating system inside another operating system. This is especially usefull if you are forced to reveal the password to an attacker.

I write this because I`m using the last version of DCPP, version 3.91, now also compatible with Vista 32bit. The on-the-fly encryption/decryption process is now faster than in the previous versions. I`m very content with the software and I must say that as long as you follow the instructions from the help file you can`t go wrong. Also always make the recovery disk, as recommended and don`t lose of forget your preboot password.

I've tested Drive Crypt Plus Pack, as a matter of fact I use it on a daily basis. It's a very good software and quite unique, in my opinion. The encryption algorithms are very strong. I never encountered problems with it and I am very satisfied. Someone specified that they lost their data while using this soft - well you have the option to create an emergency disk for cases like this. I took the liberty to present you with some of the main features of this soft that helped me so much, just to clarify your doubts ;)

1. Boot protection

2. Pre-Boot authentication: Login before starting the operating system

3. Multiple OS boot support (Microsoft)

4. Invisible operating system (possibility to hide the entire operating system)

5. Full or partial hard disk encryption

6. Sector level protection

7. Complete "power off" protection i.e. unauthorized users are prohibited from starting up the PC

8. AES 256 bit encryption

9. Full hibernation support (hibernation files and disk-dump data are securely encrypted)

10.No size limitation for encrypted disks

With the software you also get the possibility to hide data into music or picture files.

I hope you will try to use Drive Crypt Plus Pack, my personal opinion about it is that it's the best on the market.

Ive been using DCPP 2.6 scince it came out and Drive Crypt and there prelude Scramdisk scince 1997. the DCPP package is easy to use and is a fully muti level front line security package. I use the preboot authentication with a rainbow I token and have ALL my disks encripted with never a problem. Full disk Encription ( FDE ) has certain advantages over file or container encription as the " Brute force method " becomes ineffective so dont let the 256 bit encription put you off.
With The preboot I token you can use the User passwords and leave the master password on the encripted hard drive ( I dont even know my master password its a masive random string that I have a copy of on my E drive )there for without the usb tokin noone gets in, not even me.
The only weekness in the system is if a program overwrites the boot sector of the C drive, to get around this DCPP uses an Emergincy floppy disk ( also encryped )and floppys,as we know have phisical weekness's.
All in All a very good progy that I have not had any problems with ( even scince 97 ) Enjoy
