Publisher's Description
ERS 2K/XP lets you gracefully recover from a system crash. Should the Windows 2000/XP registry or other System files become corrupted, backups will then be available to restore from. ERS 2K/XP does seven registry backups, and backs up all Profiles, boot files, and vital files in Windows 2000 and Windows XP Pro and Home Edition (FAT/FAT32 only).

Don't count on WinXP's program to save you all the time. I had it cross refrence it's backup on my HD. So the WinXP systeme restore made it impossible to even get into Windows. I've used ERS for several years, it has really saved me from ever having to reinstall Windows due to corrupt files etc. Here's a link to the older version of ERS 2K/XP that I did : http://www.3dgpu.com/reviews/ers.php
This new version does not require the additional files from Win98, and can backup while in WinXP now. This is the best back up and restore program out there. Those backup to CD programs are a joke & WinXP restore program is not failsafe, ERS is.

I'm not really sure why this is necessary for Windows XP. XP already has an excellent system backup and restore feature built in, and it really does a better job than any third-party tool I've seen.
