Publisher's Description
ExplorerXP is a very fast, small, compact and innovative file manager for Windows. Unlike the regular Windows Explorer, it displays the total size of each folder and allows you to browse multiple folders from a tabbed interface. It also includes an option to split and merge files, and to select or delete files based on wildcards.

I was hoping to use this program so I could browse under different (administrative) credentials in a domain, as explorer can't be. And while it works well for that this software is quite slow, freezing often. Lacks drag and drop compatibility with explorer, and is extremly inconvienient with network locations (no tree view, no share listings from servers, etc). I give it a 2 since its good for winPE and works with RunAs. If anyone knows any similar programs which are better please post!

Edit (24.1.08): I am now using it with no problems in Vista Home Premium.
It does what it says on the box and it has some features I find very useful, mainly the tabs, grouping and the detailed file lengths. Okay, it's not an all singing, all dancing utiulity; basically, it's just a useful program compensating for Microsofts inadeqaucies by doing somethings XP should do but doesn't.
I hope it gets developed further.

Oh, I get it, Blaxima, I'm "confused". Hah! Good one. Unfortunately, it's the other way around. You see, I meant that ExplorerXP doesn't support full drag-and-drop, including with the RIGHT mouse button. ExplorerXP didn't support it then, and it doesn't now. (BTW, did you know the mouse had another button?)
Now, before someone else thinks they're making a point, when they're actually sadly mistaken, I do realize that a normal left button drag-and-drop moves, while holding the Ctrl key while doing the same performs a copy. But it's still not the same as full drag-and-drop support, which allows the use of drag-and-drop handler shell extensions.
Does that help get it through your head?

http confused, must be because it has and still does support drag and drop.
This is a great FREE program that allows you to view multiple explorer windows in one by way of tabs and reduces the amount of resources used if you were to have say 5 windows open seperately. Some more options would be nice but at ExplorerXp's forum people are suggesting thumbnail view and other usless features that would take this small and light on resoures program into just another bloatware. Well hopefully the improvements are slight because it doesn't really need much since it does everything I want it to.

It has some great features like tabs, groups and folder size. You may view any number of tabs as you want (dual view is history with tabs). This is just like a browser. But it's too slow when you compare with xplorer2, especially on networks. But this is a very good start.

Nice idea, but seriously deficient. Buggy, for one thing. And doesn't even support drag-and-drop.

Good program. Tabs work well. Does as it says. Would be nice to have a few more options. I'll be watching for updates.

Although it has neither a "new window memory" nor a simple list view (details only), it is quite good for a first version. I was impressed with its speed. I'm using it, so it's worth a $10 donation.

This is an ok program it does what it says but is missing may of the features that many other file management tools including explorer have. Still its a very good start and I look forward to future versions of it
