This isn't freeware, as it says above. Note this excerpt from license.txt, included in the distribution:

"The FileRecovery for MemoryStick trial version does not support the recovery function, only shows the amount of the retrievable information. To use FileRecovery for MemoryStick(R) without this limitation you MUST register."

I'm not rating poorly because of the price--though I do think it is vastly overpriced--I am rating poorly because it's a complete joke for a recovery utility to work on only one type of media. I also rate archivers poorly if they only fully support the ZIP format; it's the same basic idea. And wouldn't it be insulting if the maker of that archiver sold a separate utility for each archive format, especially if each of those individual utilities cost more than competitors that had wide-ranging archive support?

Spend an extra $5 on WinHex, and you can recover anything from any media (though it's not as user friendly, the author will provide technical support if you need it). Plus, you'll have a utility that does a lot more than file recovery. Or, if you really want a simple interface, you can get Davory for about $47 (currently), and get the same recovery functionality that WinHex offers. Better yet, try one of the freeware utilities available, to see if they're up to the task.
