Publisher's Description
FTPUpdateSearcher is not just another FTP client. It is your personal FTP search and indexing engine. The program scans a given FTP server and creates a searchable index of files. You can then search for files on the indexed server as if it were your own local PC. In addition, it is a streamlined FTP download manager. You can quickly scan your subnetwork for all FTP servers available. No need to be a hacker to find and index local and remote file storages.

My name is David. I am a system administrator in a branch office of a large company. Very often they place different information from the main office and other constituent companies on our own servers. I have access to them by using ftp. Before I used FTPUpdateSearcher I have had to look throw all the catalogs by myself and to find what new have appeared, what files and folders. This work could have been spent a lot of hours a day.
But recently I have found in web a program FTPUpdateSearcher. Before I tried it I even couldn't imagine how much time I have spent to routine, vain work. Now I easily automated my work with a help of this program.
FTPUpdateSearcher is load at my computer constantly. FTPUpdateSearcher allows you to set its work in automatic mode without your participation! I built the FTPUpdateSearcher timetable to my daily routine.
Once a day I scan all the servers to find new and updated files. In a result I make the report – text file saved at my ftp server and also send it to my e-mail. After that I look throw the list and decide what files are necessary to download. I download essential files straight off by embedded "Download Manager".
Once a week I verify availability of new ftp-servers in local net. Before I tried it I knew about new servers from other administrators or by mail or by phone. Now I know about new ftp-servers on-the-fly. At the same time I receive the contents list of all these servers to analyse and search necessary information.
Embedded "Download Manager" is very convenient. I can download necessary file without switching to another program. Everything is in the way! "Download Manager" allows adjusting different features of loading, such as: connection type and speed, maximum number of threads, delay between retries and so on.
It is very useful to use offline scanning of server’s contents. Sometimes some ftp-servers of our company are being inaccessible for some period. Before I was to wait they are available and to scan it by hands. Now I do not pay any attention to its availability. I just find necessary files in a list, put it into download queue and forget about it!
At the end I want to tell you some requests. It will be very useful If FTPUpdateSearcher have the catalog of ftp-servers with subject distribution. Then I don't need to search for it by myself. And it's not very convenient that FTPUpdateSearcher doesn't support other languages, besides English.
I was really impressed at the level of simplicity and professionalism of the program FTPUpdateSearcher. It really saves time when work with ftp. I have a lot of work with ftp. I use FTPUpdateSearcher very often.
Truly yours,
David
