Publisher's Description

FairUCE (which stands for "Fair use of Unsolicited Commercial Email") is a spam filter that stops spam by verifying sender identity instead of filtering content. It can stop the vast majority of spam without the use of a content filter and without requiring a probable spam or bulk folder that needs to be checked periodically. As one of the first spam filters that uses sender identity rather than email content to determine if it is legitimate, all this can be accomplished quickly using simple, inexpensive tests.

Content filters require frequent maintenance and require a great deal of processing for complex techniques such as bayesian, heuristics, fingerprinting, etc. The techniques spammers use to get past content filters become laughable, because it doesn't look at what they say, only at who they are. It virtually eliminates spoofed addresses, phishing, and even many viruses with a few cached DNS look-ups and a couple of if/else statements. Sender identity is the spam-fighting tool of the future. The author of this technology went from over 400 spams a day to just one or two.

End users can't use this software anyways, it's a server solution.
Currently a bit difficult to setup and has a few glitch's but interesting idea anyways.

Spammers continue there destruction of the internet because with the millions of spams they send out, a few do reply and buy, sadly. Enough that some spammers do make money, more then they would with a 9-5 unsecure job.
The real solution is education, don't reply and/or buy spam. But sadly it seems with some folks all the education in the world just won't help.

Great tool for corp users!

Spammers already know the email addresses for a large company. It will also allow legit users to know their email was bounced.

Haven't used...wouldn't suggest it to anyone not wanting to be thrust to the top of spammers lists.

This program will 'redirect' spam back to the spammer. Therby validating your account as REAL and ACTIVE. They will then put your name at the top of their lists and target you with SPAM not filterable by FairUCE.

I cannot believe IBM would be this stupid.
