Junk use 7-zip and winrar...

As I already wrote Filzip is a good program. I give a four because it does not support 7-Zip (.7z) files. The format is free, efficient and quite popular.

This program has a lot of potential, but I gave it a 4 out of 5. The reason is because; certain zipfiles it will not show any files, even though it shows a byte size. This seemed to happen with archives that had comments in them.

Other than the probelm with certain zipfiles, it's not a bad program.

Nice proggie except for one serious problem:

It does not multitask well. If you are using FilZip to create an archive, the do anything at all that opens another instance of FilZip, the archiving operation prematurely halts leaving behind a bad zip file.

As Windows XP is a multitasking OS I expect any program that runs in it to be totally independent of other instances of itselg. At the very least the operation currently underway should never be prematurely cancelled.

It is a nice program, but until this is fixed i cannot give it any better than a 3. Sorry.

Fanflippintastic !!

Fast zipping and runs quickley . It's free which is a plus . It covers a great deal of formats .

All we need now is skinning (though i really dont care) ..Its pretty stable and i havn't had a problem yet .

Great program :)

My favorite, it compresses and uncompresses the really popular .rar and .zip files. The speed is outstanding, and it's easy to use. If I could give it a 6 I would.

IMO it is a very good program. Blazingly fast, nice interface, no problems during my extensive tests, freeware. My thumb up!

@pluizebol: Its not fair give such a bad rating because of a stupid and non technical opinion like yours. FilZip is a great freeware Archiver with an austanding qualitiy.

I am very sorry, but it is just another "power archiver".
I'd pay with pleasure for an archiver that fully uses and fully blends with Windows XP Explorer instead of having its own user interface.
