Publisher's Description

Fire Client is the MUD client of the future. Using a custom specification called IMP (Interactive Mudding Protocol), Fire Client works solidly not only as a MUD client, but as a multimedia client as well. Fire Client allows you to setup elaborate triggers, create shortcuts with aliases, store values to variables, send and view images, audio clips, record your own macros, switch between different fonts midline to beautify the MUD, click on links on the MUD screen w/IMP enabled, have easy access to a custom history file, and choose from a list of great MUD's to start on! Whether you're a novice to MUDs or a seasoned veteran, Fire Client will never cease to amaze with it's many features and customizations.

Tried this one before and thought it was fast, but a bit underpowered compared to other MUD clients out there. Looks like they've really made some good changes. I love how you can track kills and things online by posting using triggers. Slick idea there. I'd like to see more variable options (so I can keep counters and make better bots), and maybe more MP3 player options (doesn't replace winamp), but looks good so far.

I don't know why they still have 2.02 posted here, because I agree that wasn't too good, but version 2.06 really has some cool stuff. An MP3 player in a MUD client? Not as good as winamp, but a decent idea anyway.

I have been playing MUDS/MUSH and MU*'s for years now. I have seen lots of clients from tintin to Zmud to SimpleMU. This client sucks. Has almost no features (and I am not saying they are ones not implemented). I find this build extremely buggy and unstable under windows 2000. I tried it on Win98/Me and It was worst. Programs like this should remain freeware or adware until something of better quality rolls out.

I've been playing MUDS for years. I think I tried all clients out there.. This is the worst ever, I guess it's a 10 liner code, and it even ask you to pay for it.. man..

Didn't like it. It doesn't appear to be adware anymore. You get an annoying little "29 days remaining" message when you first launch the program, then you're sent into a "connecting to server" hell where you wait for... well I wouldn't know, when I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL it said "[Not Responding]. The older version worked. The older version, 1.66 (think that was it) was adware, the new version is shareware. Also, it seems that a new program would have a built-in list of available muds or something like that. I didn't care for this program, I haven't played muds in a while, but I remember them being cleaner than this client. It gets a low rating of 2 for not being inovative, although they seem to think highly of their IMP enabled client. I also tried the FireQuest client on their page that is designed for their service, it locked up and forced a restart, so if it were here, it would get a nasty 1!
