If you just want to save your DVDs to DIVX or VCD I strongly recommend DVDx 2.0 (also freeware).

This is an easy and quick download. It's great for all users, whether for personal or business use.

Personally I'm not happy with this program. For 1 I only get 1 out of 10 successful tries with it and it's flakier than a jaybird. It's hard crashed my system more times than I want to admit and my system is ultra stable. I've since tried Easy Divx, and although it doesn't allow me to encode in anything but divx, I'm so happy with it, I'm staying with it. Now if he'd only include the option to encode in other codecs, that would rock. :)

Nice. It's fast even on this ancient AMD K6-2/450. Sweeet as conversions from *.MV2 files, although it seems to crash on some later *.MPG files. Let's hope that the MPG decoding bug gets rid of, shall we? -Sam

Perfect as always! No bugs on my PC! But isnt there any chance of making the convertion of a file go any faster ?!?! Maby use some better convert-algorithms?

Really cool! Even if it's currently only 1 Style. I hope StylesXP stays freeware, but I doubt StyleBuilder will be freeware. Let's see how flexible StyleBuilder will be.
