The tool works well, but since using it (with the API), Google has removed our site from their index. Do not use this tool to track yor own site (but you may want to very regularly check your competitors ;-)

It's crap, doesn't work, and i have to use the task manager to stop it !!! ... grrr... *** For Arnvid : I found this tool on the website, look at the links on the right part of the page.

Sirhardi, you got me to look back again at Sow's homepage (www.sowsoft.com), and I'm totally unable to find the products you mention (but I can just be plain stupid of course, not looking good enough). What I find is the good and fairly known password manager "Big Crocodile", the pc search tool "Effective File Search", a commando line / calculator called "Active Line" and last the automation tool for MS Excel "Excel Macro Processor". On the other hand, on the page for "Google Monitor" there is a link called "Web Promotion". This link brings you to a page the "best software and services" for web site promotion as Sow sees it (or the affiliate deals go?). This is the "Internet Search Keywords List", the oldie "SubmitWolf Pro" and "123LogAnalyzer". All web developer's tools - no spam or other unethical tools around as I can find. Even if they was there, "Google Monitor" as a program is clean, no adware, spyware or alike in that download. Apart from the sender of spam there are hardly many of us who love spam, most of us "hate" it. Personally I delete with some software help some hundred spam mail a day. Still, if one should review software based upon an evaluation of ethical or non-ethical software producers - well then I guess we would among others not be able to evaluate any more MS software here. Thinking about it, maybe not an bad idea - lol. Why Google Monitor are not listed on their homepage, well I have several pages on my site that is not linked from the standard site, this is link I only send to those I choose to send it to (the anti-spam way :-). Sorry, can't answer "why" on behalf of Sow, but I can't see a harm in that as long as we at least got the link here - and the tool is for free. For Google Monitor as a software, that one just get's more and more useful - at least for us who need it, another five star rating from me to Google Monitor!

Although ture .it does what it says, the publisher of this program, if you go to their website, it has products linked that are specifically interesting to SPAMMERS..such as fast e-mail extract..verifyer etc...I do not condome such programs and therefore do not agree with utilizing such a tool, as I do not know if the searches are gathered for their purposes.
Since it is a third party item and it also mentions a HORRID SPAM submitter, this is not acceptable to me.
Furthermore is this item NOT listed on their main page but hidden here

There is NO privacy policy stated either.
This is beta 1.05 on their hidden so called home page, the version is listed as 1.0 not beta, so why isn't this listed on their ACTUAL homepage ?
If I am wrong, i apologize.just anmswer the privacy statement and post it as well as what your affiliation is with the other tools ?

As "diskopo" I wonder what happened here below! Google Monitor is a swift checker of where different search words or phrases would find your (or others) site. When searching a site as www.safariegypt.com for "hotels luxor" you find in a fraction of time that anyone using this search would find this site as number 44. Anyone who looks for maps of Luxor and search for this at Google with the search words "luxor map" find safariegypt.com's luxor map on top in second position. To search for "hotels luxor" the normal way directly in Google - then you would have to go to page five to find the same result as Google Monitor give you extremely fast. So this program saves a lot of time for the right user and tell him/her in a fraction of time that s/he got to optimize the hotel page for Luxor while it would be wise to make sure s/he got a good lead to hotels in Luxor from the luxor map page... If you on the other side choose to search www.CNN.com for "hotels luxor" - then Google Monitor will tell you: "Process finished. Your URL are not found". So it don't help to have a famous URL if the search term is not exactly what the site try to sell... Still wonder what you guys imagined this program should be used as, I honestly don't know (-: The changes for this b1 version works great, keep up the good work!!!

Are you sure you guys are using this program properly? I find this very useful to find the ranking of my site on google from different search terms, which is what the program is meant to do. I don't know why you're giving it a low ranking because it can't find your URL.

I'll make it number five, just to agree with the last three. It didn't seem to give back any relevant information.

The program really doesn't find anny URL. Not even the most ieiest thing. The site www.google.be is mutch better!

What an amazingly useless program.
Every result is the same. Your URL cannot be found. WOW.
Only a 300K program could tell me that no URL's in the world exist. I guess that the internet is really a big myth.
Imagine my surprise.

From the developer/s of 'Big Crocodile comes this 'Google Monitor'. If it were named 'search monitor' or something like that, I would give it four, and the one minus for not including more search engines. With the name it got I guess I can not expect it to do more than monitor your site listing in Google. That said, it does exactly what it promise - save us users time (and money). Can't give it less than five with that in mind - and G.M. already in good use?
