Publisher's Description
Freelook allows you to use movements of your head to accurately control your mouse cursor. This translates to hands-free viewpoint control in games such as IL2 Sturmovik and Lock On: Modern Air Combat, as well as providing a mouse alternative for handicapped users. It is similar in execution to the excellent cam2pan and TrackIR systems, although unlike the latter, this only requires a cheap off-the-shelf webcam.
Freelook accomplishes this by tracking the position of a visible marker, which may be as simple as a square of white paper attached to the brim of a cap, or for better performance in unusual lighting situations, an LED may attached in a similar fashion.

The only thing in this stuff is that it's free. Otherwise pretty useless. Author should get a quick update on recent motion tracking and optical flow calculation research and use a better tracking algorithm, 'cause this just s*cks. No offence, it just does.

great idea and has potential, I tried it with raven shield and could see it was trying to work but it kept sticking so it wasnt really usable.

Wow, I did exactly what the "manual" said, holy crap, it works, sort of.. I did all sorts of tweaking with the config, and my camera, to no avail, my pointer jumped around everywhere in a barely controlable fashion
