Publisher's Description
GFI EventsManager collects data from all devices that use Windows event logs, W3C, and Syslog and applies the best rules and filtering in the industry to identify key data. This allows you to track when staff swipe their fob, pick up the phone to call home, turn on their PC, what they do on their PC and which files they access during their work day. GFI EventsManager also provides you with real-time alerting when critical events arise and suggests remedial action.

at 500 bucks they only need to sell a few copies

This program failed to sync two folders as scheduled so I would not use it for any critical syncing task. I've used SecondCopy for years and have totally relied on it. I only tried GFI because I recently installed Win7 and was reinstalling my software base. Sorry GFI, you didn't do it this time. I cannot comment on the backup and restore features.

What a great business model :-)
First you sell a crappy mail software.
As a next step you produce a tool to to restart the hanging mail software when an "Item processed ...." occurs.
Since it happens so frequent now we all can purchase a tool to get notified when the monitor restarts the hanging mail tool.
By the way - why does it cost so many bucks if you market it as "shareware"? Shouldnt existing customer get it as freeware until ME/MSEC work stable?
