Gmailta sets your gmail account as default e-mail application for system. I.e - after pressing mailto: link, utility will open new gmail compose window, with address, subject, cc and bcc already filled in (depending on original link). This software will work with original @gmail.com account and with hosted apps for your domain. In case of hosted apps - preferences should be filled.
