Just to reinforce what has already been stated by others, this product is completely worthless.
Despite updating and a variety of different configurations, my little globe just spins and spins and spins. Two full days now with no proxy found.
The "Change IP" option stays perpetually grayed out.
Hopefully these reviews will prevent others from wasting valuable time and money in a worthless product.

I also experienced the 'spinning globe' issue, as noted by the last two reviews. However, lately it seems to be much more reliable. The reason for the '3' rating is twofold. Sometimes it won't connect, but primarily this utility is simply over priced, compared to comparable software out there, both shareware and freeware.

You know, with high-speed dedicated proxies, this program could make a killing.

Hide Ip Platinum is basically a waste of money. Quite simply it dont work, I mean it plainly just doesnt work, the icon just spins around in your system tray and never connects even if you "Update" your proxy list. If you are extremely lucky to connect to a proxy with them the proxy is so slow you just give up and quit. As for customer support well even though there are E-Mail forms on their web site no one ever answers them so bluntly there is no support. I paid £22 GBP for a licence for this product and I am gutted. I've given it a rating of 1 only because there are no Minus rating scores to select. Buy this product at your peril !!

well uptil version 3.2 i would give this 5 out of 5, but then after i updated to 3.3 and upwards including now the new 3.41 after it updates itself all i see is the globe spinning, and when i close it, cannot find file "". 3.2 and below it works flawlessly, so its something to do with the update, now I wouldnt recommend this to anyone,

sorry for my last post,it does nothing ,it founds 2 IPs in China and Saudi arabia .i dont know if the author knows anything about great firewall of china and the Mid-east countries or not .i could not even see my own and changed IP (if so)bcause of filtering proxies in these countries .

I've tried hide IP platinum before, I even went to sites that require you to sign up just to view the information...and part ofthe information was, "The IP address of this computer has been recorded, please register to login into website" it would display the current IP address,which was suppossed to be the Hide IP plats proxy address...but instead, it was mine. I even went to a site for serial numbers to check if it worked, and those displayed my current computer IP Address...Do not be fooled by Hide IP Platinum, it's a waste of a download and money! you can find a proxy switcher for free, that does even better...

it slows down the connection and its the cost of hiding your IP and using proxies .
