One of the best editors currently available with some great and innovative characteristics. However it still lacks many important features and I found it too buggy and unstable to be considered for any serious use, yet.
According to HippoEDIT developer the upcoming release (1.50) will address some of the oddities, but that was first promised two years ago and still is in early alpha stage. I know it's one-man-show but still...
Anyway, I rate HippoEdit with three stars for now, but I'll definitely come back in the future. I love text editors and this one has great potential to become the best of its kind, IF it gets some further serious development.
