Publisher's Description

Holiday Lights strings rows of Christmas tree bulbs around the edges of your screen with festive music playing in the background. It even includes a screen saver with gently falling snow and other seasonal choices to put you in the holiday spirit. If you wish, the colorful lights can flash on your desktop while you continue to work, so it's not just a screen saver. Choose from more than forty different bulbs for any season, including standard Christmas tree lights, chili peppers, stockings, holly, snowmen, happy faces, Valentine's Day hearts, Thanksgiving turkeys, Halloween Jack-O-Lanterns, Hannukah dreidles and menorahs, and more.

If it was 1990 and I was running Windows 3.1 this would be a cool program, but it's 2001 and running this on Windows XP seems a bit cheesy. Sorry guys, it just looks outdated.

Holiday Lights 5.2 - Navidad en Mejico (Christmas in Mexico) is the latest in a long line of Holiday Lights titles. So what new does this have to offer? Well, it's intuative "pick up and play" system means you'll have the lights running in 5 seconds, compared with the sluggish 8 seconds on previous versions. A lot of work has gone into ironing out the snowman problems that had users of 4.3 cursing and the finished result is polished and realistic. The chillis are a welcome addition to the gameplay and the realm of options (flashing or not flashing, random or sequenced) should keep you entertained a good three minutes after downloading it. The only question left is - how much further can the developers take this ageing franchise. I guess we'll find out next year.
