Publisher's Description

IconX is a program that turbo-charges your Windows desktop icons. It can put shadows, make them bigger, have them zoom up when you put your mouse over them, even change color based on what you are doing. Set your icons to be any size and react to different mouse states. Use the built in pre-loads for easy use or go in and set it up for yourself.

Just too good ! Stardock does it again.

Unique customization of your desktop icons.

The more icons on your desktop, the more useful this applet is !

Notwithstanding it simply looks very cool.

Very nice program.

just like c0ldfusi0n said in his review.. maybe to much for a beginner. but if you like spending time and changing the look and feel of windows XP then this is the app for you.

I dont know about the $10. but you get it for free in the Object Desktop Package for $49

this is useless. I give it a 2 for being slightly annoying enough to put on somones machine as a joke!
i wouldn't pay 1$ for this, and i definatly would never use it.
save your time and just ignore this software and thread.

Been waiting for this.

IconX was once part of DesktopX, but you couldn't get it as a standalone application unless you screwed your installation of DesktopX.

This is really a small application and i expected Stardock not to charge for it, but 10$ is reasonable. But for this demo version, you get the usual annoying nag screen everytime you start IconX.

As for the features, a newbie will most likely get lost. The first tab of the configuration application is this: "Theme: {Big|Default|Grow|Huge}" what's it for, what's it look like and what's it do? You have no idea.
Next tab is THE tab that allows you to customize pretty much what reaction you want to trigger on X mouse events.

Good little tool for customizers, doesn't take up much memory either, definately a try.. but a buy?

Not sure, maybe the future versions..
