Publisher's Description
Iconic Tray is a tiny service utility lets you minimize any window either to a special common area near the system tray or to the system tray directly (this window appears as a separate icon). This is very useful to hide seldom used or background applications which occupy your taskbar and hinder quick switching among often used ones. Moreover, minimized application reduces its overhead usage of processor and memory, so the system performance can be slightly raised.

Sinbad - agree totally. However, while there is no review validation here, it is left to us to discredit those that put up "reviews" that mislead the reader. Comparative reviewing is a skilled job - something of which asantos is clearly ignorant. In his earlier post he highlighted *differences* in functionality and price, which he claims makes the other program "better". In his subsequent post he says they're the *same* except for price. This, somehow in his limited capacity for judgement makes him "inteligent" (sic).
It is grossly unfair to Dmitry that a "reviewer" can come on here and mislead.
Where I have an opinion on a piece of software that I wish to share I will post it (as do you). Where that published opinion is negated by misleading rubbish from someone else, I reserve the right to point out why it is misleading, and discredit the poster. As soon as reviews are validated, I'll desist.

Guys, This is a review area not a quarrel market. However, This prog outweighs Tray It simply due to the fact that it hides the icons in the tray instead of just putting them there and it further gives you a choice on where and how to does so. Therefore removing clutter. For that alone it is worth the extra mileage. :) Nuff said. Good job Dmitry! It is really taking shape.

Absolutely right... I've been using TrayIt! for about a week now, and it even lets me tray Outlook Express, as well as Folding@Home. Why pay for something when there's something like this for free? Guess software authors don't think people will look around for other versions of similar programs, eh?

It is not recommended to download this file unless it pulls from the orginal site. There was a bug in the new menu option area that failed to save your changes on exit. I emailed Dmitry on it and he already has a fix on his site with the same version number. :)

Oops! A little premature on the restore and maximize aspect. There was a conflict with another prog I had running. Sorry. Hotkey prob still applies.

I like simple tools that perform exactly to spec. Iconcic Tray does exactly what it says - and uses next to no resources. Dmitry is also quick to respond by email (I had an issue installing on NT4 but he fixed it over email). If you're, like me, bogged down with taskbar filled with programs, get this little gem!
