Publisher's Description

Image Eye is a quite specialized image viewer specialized for the sole purpose of viewing images as quickly and as preactically as possible and nothing else. You don't get any menus, tool bars or other fancy - but sometimes very anoying things cluttering up the window where you want to see a picture an nothing else. In fact, if you want you can even have the window title bar dissapear when you don't need it, leaving just the image itself. There are many handy and practical user interface 'tricks'; e.g. hitting Ctrl-Alt-X to close all image windows - just to mention one.

This program keeps getting better and better. I can't think of a quicker and cleaner file viewer, not even ACDSee. I really like the clean interface, which prevents distractions while viewing pictures. Even the little editor is clean and nice, with real-time adjustment of color, brighness, sharpness, etc. It's a Windows bloat fighter, too, with no DLL files in the windows folders. I recommend this program to anyone who doesn't already own ACDSee, which is still the boss. The only feature I would like to see added to Image Eye is a check list for associating and de-associating file types.(bobad@mindspring.com)

This is a nice program and a worthwhile update. It resolves the "fit to screen" issue that caused small images to be stretched inappropriately. Now, unfortunately there is an error that pops up when viewing certain .jpg's. The Author is invited to ask me for a sample JPG. My e-mail is bobad@mindspring.com. Keep it going on Image Eye! It's truly a nice program if you need a fast image viewer to view and do light editing on your digital photographs.

Not bad! It's not fast like ACDSee, but it's a feature-packed little program. It's a lot like Irfanview actually. It does a lot of things, but nothing really well. The one fatal flaw is the lack of a full screen mode that does not stretch your smaller pics grotesquely. I rate it the 3rd best image viewer I have ever used after ACDSee and Irfanview. Irfanview is free, BTW. Speed it up and add a full screen mode and it could even compete with the king of viewers, ACDSee!
