Publisher's Description
Instant ThumbView is a tiny image viewer that displays the thumbnail of selected image file in a popup window, when the mouse pointer is hovered over an image file. It supports a lot of popular image file formats, including BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, WMF, ART, DIB, etc. and is very handy for quick image viewing. To invoke it, just toggle the SCROLL LOCK indicator ON, and then hover an image file with your mouse pointer in the Explorer's window.

Oh - what i see now !!!!
Instant ThumbView is NOT FREE software. You can freely download and try it for 30 days. If you've found it useful and decided to keep it after the evaluation period, you should pay a registration fee.---costs $19.95 USD

This may sound nice to those who use images and imaging software frequently, but it isn't. It takes a while to extract the thumbnail and show it, and then when it does, you can do absolutely nothing with it. After all these years there is still no replacement for the good old PicaView 1.31. You have to right click an image file to get the preview, but you can also open it up in full size, and copy the image to clipboard (a godsend), and convert into other formats (another godsend!). Instant ThumbView just doesn't make it past one star, for me at least.

Brilliant idea but it is a bit hard to get a thumbnail to appear occasionally. Sometimes you have to move the cursor around a bit maybe to a different file, or you see will a tooltip that says "extracting thumbnail". Yet it never appears. Also I must agree this is not freeware due to the annoying script on each image.

Nice idea, but seem limited to window explorer to produce thumbnails. Too slow to produce thumbnails when one can use a lightweight program as Irfan view to handle the image extensions by default. If one have done so, one can just double click on the image and woops there you see it. No waiting and no limitation in having to use window explorer, as many use alternatives as PowerDesk, 2xExplorer and other... As said, good idea - but the final version must be far better than this beta. Last, allow me to suggest to leave the thumbs free of the text "Instant ThumbView" - it just turn the freeware program into a free-nagware...
