I like the interface and options, but on the whole I'm not quite sure why anyone would choose this over Notepad++ at it's current stage of development.

I have no idea why people seem to have a problem with this editor. Sure, it still is quite minimalistic and simple, but i think it really has some potential. If you're not looking for a full blown word processor but a clean and fast alternative to edit your little code projects I would recommend to give it a try.
