This version will work on Windows too.

Actually, it works now, but it's pre-alpha :D

I can't understand why they haven't ported this to Windows and commercialized it. It's one of the best office suites I've used.

It would be nicer if the other reviewers spoke about KOffice other than to compare it to OpenOffice. Tell us what's so good about it, not use it as a place to bash OpenOffice.

That "bloat" you refer to is the Java Runtime Environment, which is a major reason why OpenOffice can run on so many platforms. Definitely no bloat in the OASIS OpenDocument (ODF) format, which, like OpenOffice, is KOffice's native file format!

Yep, OpenOffice is for Windows users who can't get away from bloatware, KOffice OTH is for the people who like simplicity and the job well done. Thumbs up, especially if you run KDE, this is an excellent complementary package.

KOffice is a great product. Less bloated than Open Office and of course excellent integration with KDE.

I'd give my left leg for a way to use it on Windows.

Why such a low rating? Koffice does exactly what it supposed to do and compared to OpenOffice it is amazingly fast.
